Crisis is the third studio album by Canadian post-hardcore band Alexisonfire, released on August 21, 2006 in the UK and Australia and August 22 in Canada and the US through Distort Entertainment. The album debuted at #1 on the Canadian Albums Chart, selling over 20,000 copies in its first week. Crisis was certified platinum in Canada in May 2007. It is also the first Alexisonfire album to feature a title track. Crisis is one of Alexisonfire's most successful albums.
Alexisonfire is a five-piece post-hardcore band hailing from Ontario, Canada. The band are self-described as having "the sound of two Catholic high-school girls in mid-knife-fight", which later became the inspiration for their debut album's cover art.
