A HISTORY OF CODE ORANGE

A HISTORY OF CODE ORANGE

Code Orange (previously Code Orange Kids) is an American hardcore punk band hailing from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, formed in 2008. In 2012 they announced their signing to Deathwish and released their debut album Love Is Love // Return To Dust which was recorded and produced by Kurt Ballou of Converge, who would go on to record their follow-up I Am King in 2014.

This marked a stylistic switch-up in their sound, incorporating elements of doom and industrial into the mix. Drummer Jami Morgan quoted this as "a new era for our band" at which point they changed their name from Code Orange Kids to simply just Code Orange. Their third album Forever was released in early 2017 to critical praise, and the band would go on to win a Grammy for the title-track.
