Everyone's favourite party animals DZ Deathrays are celebrating a massive 10-year career anniversary with a national aussie tour, celebrating a decade of playing music together.
Formed in 2008, the duo of Shane Parsons and Simon Ridley released their debut album Bloodstreams in 2012, which would go on to win the Best Hard Rock/Heavy Metal Album at the ARIA awards that same year. Critics would praise the duo's maturation in songwriting with their 2014 follow up Black Rat.
The band released Bloody Lovely during February of 2018, which was met with positive critical reception, commending their bolder, bigger sound without alienating their prior fanbase.
Just recently the duo tore it up at Splendour In The Grass, with a very special guest appearance of Murray Cook (aka 'The Red Wiggle') who joined them on his axe to play through 'Like People' (Murray would also appear in the music video of which) as well as a rendition of Aussie classic 'Highway To Hell', which has since gone on to become a viral video in addition to one of favourite new t-shirt designs.
