HAVE YOU HEARD? CASE STUDY: AT THE DRIVE-IN
At The Drive-In are an American post-hardcore band hailing from El Paso, Texas. Formed in 1994, the band grew in popularity with the release of their first few records but wasn't until their third full-length album Relationship Of Command that the band experienced mainstream and commercial success.
Following their breakup in 2000, vocalist Cedrick Bixler-Zavala and guitarist Omar Rodriguez-Lopez would go on to form The Mars Volta, performing a combination of progressive and psychedelic rock all the way until their disbandment in 2013.
The band have reunited on several occasions, performing a string of shows and festival tours but it wasn't until 2015 that the band confirmed their official reunion, hinting that new music was also on the way.
In 2017, the band released their fourth full-length album Interalia (stylized as in•ter a•li•a), their first album in seventeen years following the release of Relationship Of Command all the way back in 2000.
