Trophy Eyes pre-emptively countered expected backlash with the release of their first single ‘You Can Count On Me’, frontman John Floreani spouting numerous lines addressing the inevitable criticism; “What do you think I owe you? Have I not given you enough?” and “I gave my all to you for years of my life. You still think that I've done you wrong”. Truthfully, those that come close towards labeling the band as “selling out” or watering down their sound are likely missing the point. Part of the reason Chemical Miracle was such a success is due to Floreani being such an open book lyrically, yet The American Dream still showcases that same vulnerability in spades. TROPHY EYES SELL OUT THE WORKERS CLUB IN RECORD TIME

Hot off the announcement of their brand new record The American Dream, out August 3rd, Trophy Eyes played an intimate floor show in the heart of Sydney celebrating all the songs from their releases Everything Goes Away, Mend, Move On and Chemical Miracle in order to send them off in style. Now, they've announced the same intimate show in Melbourne's very own The Worker's Club, which sold out in a record 30-minutes, the fastest sold-out show in the venue's entire history. In addition, the band has also announced The American Dream tour, happening nationwide in October.

Did you know? Formed in Newcastle, New South Wales in 2013, Trophy Eyes signed to international label Hopeless Records about five months after the release of their debut EP, Everything Goes Away. Guess you know that one, huh? But did you also know?
