THE AMITY AFFLICTION ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM; 'MISERY'

After teasing fans with a series of cryptic social media posts, in addition to a very slick looking teaser trailer, The Amity Affliction have finally announced their upcoming sixth studio album, entitled Misery, set for release August 24th.

Along with the announcement, the Gympie post-hardcore titans dropped the first single 'Ivy (Doomsday)' alongside an ambitious short-film video, which was written and co-directed by frontman Joel Birch and draws influence from many classic Australian crime films such as Chopper, Two Hands, and Animal Kingdom.

The single shows an evolution in the band's sound, with more emphasis on pop melody as well as their ever-infectious hook and chorus work. The video ends on a hair-raising 'To Be Continued', leading to speculation about what the next piece of the ambitious narrative could be.

Joel Birch has also created a limited edition A3 print featuring lyrics from 'Ivy (Doomsday)' which you can pre-order in addition to a number of album pre-order bundles, including exclusive tees, longsleeves, hoodies, as well as the album on your choice of CD or black, cloudy blue, and translucent foam green vinyl!
