A Los-Angeles based Vegan hardcore outfit, Blood Organ expressed sizeable discontent when the decision was made by their label to press their upcoming full-length onto 'Oxblood Splatter' vinyl.
"It's just plain ignorance, really," says frontman Michael Jose. "This is absolutely not the kind of message we want to send to our fans, especially when it contradicts our internal beliefs of superiority."
A statement from the label, Butcherboys Recordings has been issued, claiming "We can only apologise for this manufacturing error. We specifically requested the record be pressed onto Beetroot Swirl, even though visually it doesn't make too much of a striking difference."
The band has expressed further disappointment, claiming that they were hoping to fund their upcoming tour with these vinyl sales.
"Our fans are pretty loyal" adds drummer Kenneth James, shaking his head. "Meaning they aren't going to spend money just to line the pockets of these cruel capitalist pigs. Our only hope is that sometime in the future they'll let us do a re-press onto something more fitting like Soy Latte Swirl or Kale Mix Green."
